Getting emai without signing in everytime.

Regular Contributor

Getting emai without signing in everytime.

I have asked this question before and did not get a complete answer.  Can anyone tell me how to access my email on Comcast without signing in everytime I want to review my email.  Is there no desktop icon that will lead me straight to Comcast email.  Thanks for your time

Re: Getting emai without signing in everytime.

Once you sign into your email drag your browser down until you can see your desktop.  Then, you can either do a copy/paste of the URL to your desktop or you can put your cursor on the lock and then drag it to your desktop.  Either way, it will provide a shortcut to your Inbox.  But, FWIW, I did that while signed in to the forums, so I'm not sure if you'll have to sign in or not.  At least you'll have a shortcut that will bypass the homepage.

Re: Getting emai without signing in everytime.

Or:

there is a way to go directly to email without opening the homepage.

1) Go  to your email.

2) Copy the address in the address bar.

3) In an empty spot on your desktop, RIGHT click.

4) Choose New/Shortcut.

5) Paste URL in the box.

6) Click Next.

7) Give the shortcut a name.

8) Click Finish.

9) Look for the new icon on your desktop.

10) Click icon, web mail page (or sign in page if you have to sign in) will open.

Don't like the look of the new shortcut? RIGHT click on it, choose Properties/Change Icon.

When you sign in, check the box that says Keep me signed in.

"Why Remember Me?

When you choose Remember Me on sign in, we will remember who you are and keep you signed in for up to 30 days unless you sign out. This is great if you sign in all the time to check your email or watch TV shows online.

But be careful: If you share your personal computer with others, they could access and make some changes to your account. You should definitely not use Remember Me in public computers!"

If you clear the cache you will have to sign in again.

Thanks for your response, but it didn't work.  I followed your instructions and when I clicked on the icon, it went straight to the "Sign In" page.

Use an e-mail client such as Apple mail, Outlook, Windows live mail. There are others, they are free and easy to use.
