I have not been able to access my email in 3 days. A window pops up and says it may be because of an connection problem (which is not the case) or that the server is temporarily down. It has been THREE days and I have important information that I need to retrieve. Is anyone else having this problem?? Anyone know when this will be fixed? I would check the box that says "Email me when someone replies" BUT I WON'T BE ABLE TO READ IT!

Try calling Comcast to see if there is an outage in your area.  Do you have another way to check your email like taking a smartphone or laptop to the public library and trying from there?  Or maybe at a friend or neighbor's house?  Just to see if the problem is local to your connection.
