Email link says "opening profile" before going directly to email as before

Email link says "opening profile" before going directly to email as before

When clicking on the envelope at the top right hand side of the Xfinity main page to access email the link seems to have changed since this morning. Now when I click on the envelope a quick message shows up as if I was opening "my account" not going directly to email and then after a few seconds the spinning circle returns and then I can see my emails.

 

Is this an intentional change by Comcast or no? I am concerned whenever something unusual happens connected to my email or account section. Is this supposed to happen or yet another issue such as the yet unresolved "Guest" issue for the past few weeks.

 

I have cleared my history and it happens in both IE and Mozilla. Oh and I am using Windows 7.
