Email from Xfinity on SSID change?

Email from Xfinity on SSID change?

I changed the SSID for my home modem 5.0 freq  about 10 days ago. Tonight I received an email  from Xfinity telling me that I had made this change. This is the first time I have ever received an email from Xfinity that I changed the SSID in my modem. Is this new? Is it a new security measure?

Did the confirmation email contain the new SSID?

Yes it gave me the new SSID and also a button to get my password.

Cool, I just changed my SSID to test and I'll probably get the same confirmation.
