Email Filters Not Working

Email Filters Not Working

Email filters stopped working.

Somem email filters never worked.

Email filters cannot be edited.

Email filters cannot be accessed.

 

Click the EDIT email filters link ... nothing happens

Problem solved by running IE11 as Administrator.

 

To run IE11 as Administrator:

Right click on IE11 icon

Right click on IE11 menu listing

Select 'Run as Administrator'

Works fine on my mailbox, I wonder if it's a problem with your browser?

I suspect it's COMCAST's failure to keep up with MS IE patches.

that's possible.  I'm using chrome.  But i just tried it on IE11, and the 'add filter' dialog comes up for me.  We must be on different comcast mail servers.

Have you tried it with Compatibility view enabled?  Also try clearing the cache/browsing history in IE.  I have IE-11 on my laptop and haven't had the problem you describe.

thx to you and buckyswider for taking an interest in my problem.

 

Compatability has been turned ON and OFF.

Scripting is enabled.

Cache purged.

Even ran MS MrFixIt for IE11.

 

Another recent bug-a-boo:  The 'text messaging' window displays in the upper half the of the sceen only.

The area below is solid grey.

I can access and edit the Filters on my XP machine running IE8.

Guess as long as that box doesn't die I/m not SOL.

As a test, switch to the Lite version of Xfinity Connect and see if it works any better for you with IE;  from the Inbox page, go to Preferences>>>>>General>>>>>>>Version, and make the change.  Then go back to your email and try again.

Switched to Lite on the IE8 machine; however ... still unable to edit Preferences in the IE11 browser.

 

When I right-click on one of the Preference EDIT links and display the Properties it comes up as javascript:

 

Java scripting:  ENABLED

Java version:  8 Update 25

Security:  High

Problem solved by running IE11 as Administrator.

 

To run IE11 as Administrator:

Right click on IE11 icon

Right click on IE11 menu listing

Select 'Run as Administrator'

Having same problems here with running and editing filters.  Tried the Admin option with running but no good.  It did not work with Firefox either.

I also am having the same problems with my Xfinity E-mail Filters not working.

 

Tried using both IE 11 and Firefox 34.0.5

Tried setting Preferences/General/Version  Lite and Full

Tried running IE as Admin.

Mine quit working recently (in the last 2 weeks).  And it seems that Xfinity won't allow anymore filters.  Is there a limit? And it is not blocking the filters I've already set.
