Is there a way to permanently delete e-mails when using comcast e-mail?  I use three different devices (computer, cell & tablet) and have to delete the same e-mails from each of those devices which time consuming.

If you are using POP, switch to IMAP. Then when you delete an email from one device it will delete from all.

Change your settings to:

Imap.comcast.net from mail.comcast.net
Incoming Port is changed tomPort 993 withbSSL on.

This server requires Authentication is checked.

Your SMTP settings remain the same.
If you do not messages saved on the server, uncheck on each device settings.

Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
