How to restore old UID ( previous ) for e-mail on Comcast network ?

The system allows only to select a new UID ( user name ).

OK if you changed the Username, that has the same effect on the email as canceling service-----the ID is suspended  for 90 days and then dropped back into the pool of available IDs for any other Comcast customer that wants it.  There is a chance that Comcast security might be able to recover it------no guarantees------------------------

You need to clarify-----------did you have Comcast service at a location and then cancel it?  If so how long ago?  If you want to keep an email ID when moving to another service address you need to do so in advance of the move.

I did not cancel Comcast service. The account is the same. I only changed User Name but

I want to go back to the previous UID. Can Comcast purge their email server ?

I was told to wait for 24-48 hrs, they escalated my problem to their next engineering level.
