Deletion of emails

Deletion of emails

How do I set the deletion schedule for my inbox emails? I previously had it set for how many days to keep my read emails and my unread emails.  Now I can't find that preference.

Re: Deletion of emails

Assuming you mean you have been migrated to the new email format------------you can't.  The default for the Spam folder is 30 days, and the Trash folder is set at 7.  You cannot change them in the webmail.  All the other default folders are set to indefinite retention.  If you enable the account in a desktop client like Outlook or Thunderbird,  you can use the settings in those to accomplish what you want, as those will override the webmail settings.

Re: Deletion of emails

Are there any plans to change that?

So, to delete emails I must do them individually or delete all at one time?

Re: Deletion of emails

There are no plans to change it.  You can delete as many or as few as you like.  Just check the box to the left of each one and hit Delete in the toolbar.  If you have a continuous group you want to get rid of, check the box for the first one, hold down the Shift key, then scroll down to the last one and check it.  That will select everything in between.  Then hit Delete.
