Re: Deleting email on the Iphone 6

Hello,

I apologize for the inconvenience. Your iPhone 6 has iOS 8.1.2 which has a feature that it will intelligently detect email settings. Comcast emails are now IMAP compatible that's why it detected the IMAP settings.

IMAP shows you what is currently in your email on the server. When you delete an email from a device (IMAP configured) it will automatically delete the email on the server.

If you don't want this behavior, you might want to go back to POP3 settings.

Here are the email servers for POP3;

INCOMING SERVER
Server/Hostname: mail.comcast.net
Port: 995

OUTGOING SERVER
Server/Hostname: smtp.comcast.net
Port: 465

**Make sure that SSL is selected on both incoming and outgoing

If you'll have issues in setting up your mail back to POP3, you may call Comcast Support at 1-800-COMCAST.

Regards,
Queen
