Delays in receiving email on iPad

Me xfinity email is not showing up on my iPad. Emails on my phone are not showing up on iPad. Have rebooted iPad and have logged in and out of email account.

Do you have the account set up on the phone using POP3?  If so, it might be downloading and then deleting the messages from the server.  In that case there would be nothing for the iPad to "see".
