DISAPPEARING EMAILS ON ANDROID DEVICES

About a week ago my comcast emails on android devices (Galaxy Note 5 and Tablet 10.1) started disappearing after intially working fine. Phone set up with automatic settings (IMAP). Tablet set up POP3. "Never" delete emails from server also set.

 

Called Comcast tech support and was hung up on after 15 minutes of on-again, off-again holds.

 

What's going on? What's the solution here?

When you have the account enabled on the tablet, those settings will override the settings in your Comcast preferences.  So if it's using POP3, you need to make sure you set it to leave a copy on the server.  When you are using the account on more than one device it makes more sense to use IMAP for all of them.

This response did not help. Please read my initial issue before posting potential solutions.
