Copying your Address Book

When trying to copy your Address Book to a new email address, do either the CSV or vCard formats copy the Group information?

Re: Copying your Address Book

I assume you mean you want to export to your Comcast account?  If so, no, I don't think groups carry over from the other email provider.  You can try by exporting to your desktop, then open the file and see if they did or not.

Re: Copying your Address Book

Unfortunately, I have the new interface version of email.  I tried sending a vCard (which was limited to 20 addresses), but the addresses did not include the Groups. Don't see "Export", only "Import".  Tried Import on new Email.

On old Email when Addresses selected, see "Copy" and "Move".  "Copy" duplicates records in old Address Book.  Can someone tell me what "Move" does?  Does it carry along the Groups associated with the Address?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Copying your Address Book

Near as I can tell, in the new format "Move" means moving contacts from one address book to another within that account.  You can create your own for specific reasons you might have.
