Copy groups of addresses

Copy groups of addresses

I am unable to copy a group of addresses from an email that I have put in a file to a new email that I have just composed. Not everyone in the group is in my address book. I get an invalid address file when I push send and the email does not go.

Re: Copy groups of addresses

Comcast email uses the .csv format for addresses, same as the address book.  Try to copy the addresses into a spreadsheet document, or even a document like MS Word.  Once done, make sure there is a comma between all the addresses.  Then copy and paste them into your To: or Bcc: field and see if it works OK for you.

Re: Copy groups of addresses

Yes, I received the answer to how to copy groups of addresses. However, having to type or paste them into another document in order to separate them by commas was not good news. I might be looking for another email program.

Thank you for the information!

Re: Copy groups of addresses

I'm afraid you will encounter the same thing with any email program.  The To: Cc: or Bcc: fields are not the same thing as a spreadsheet, a document or an address book.  Most email providers use the .csv file format, and you have to put commas in between the addresses in order to copy them anywhere and use them. This is nothing peculiar to Comcast webmail.
