Certificate for Server Invalid

I used Mail 1.3.11 on my Mac G4 (OS X 10.3.9) successfully with Comcast email for years.  This problem began in July of 2015.


Now, when opening Mail, I receive error message, "Unable to verify SSL server smtp.comcast.net.  The certificate for the server is invaled".


I choose the Continue option.  When I elect the Get Mail command in Mail, a message is displayed "Connecting to server imap.comcast.net".  After about one minute the connection attempt appears to time out and Mail is off line.


I played around with the Mail settings, using information furnished by Comcast, but still unsuccessful.


Does anyone have a clue?
