Can't use Internet based TV

Can't use Internet based TV

I use the Ubuntu (Linux) operating system, and will never go back to windows.  Due to the fact that Adobe has quit providing Flash upgrades for Linux, I cannot access internet based TV on my Comcast service.  Is there any way around this problem?

Have you tried the Linux compatible CHROME browser...

Yes.  I can't get it to work.  I get the same message.

Sorry, you will have to use a supported platform, such as windows or Macintosh.

As I stated earlier, Windows and Mac are not an option.  I am not going down that road just to get internet TV.

Re: Can't use Internet based TV

Seems strange to just say you don't support Linux, the number one server operating system and cellphone operating system in the world, and you don't even provide any reason for it!  I can see why you might not support *all* versions of Linux, in order to limit support costs, but none?  really?  Youtube works fine with Linux, why not Comcast's streaming content?  After all, I'm using a browser, Chrome, that you could run on Windows or Mac.  I currently run Fedora 27 on a Lenovo thinkpad T470s using comcast internet and it works flawlessly except for:

- streaming content from comcast's website will not run in my chrome browser.

- comcast TV won't work.

I suspect that both of these are not technical issues, but are instead DRM (Digital Rights Management).    Why does Linux run afoul of DRM when it is implemented in browsers and the application components that they use?    Wouldn't Comcast be interested in resolving these issues so that it could broaden its user base?  Comcast certainly has the power and resources to do so.   Is DRM based on hiding source code for its implementation?  Is that the root cause of this problem?
