Can't download attachment

Can't download attachment

Using Comcast Webmail I received an email and it showed that there is an attachment and there was a download icon available. I did not download or view the attachment. I opened the email at a later date and it showed that there was an attachment but there was no link to enable viewing or downloading the attachment. This occurs witth both Windows 10 and Windows 7 operating systems. Is there any way to get the download link back or to download the attachment without the link?

Did you delete the email?  Is it in your Trash Folder?  If yiu deleted it, you can try this:

Right click on the Trash Folder, then click on Recover a Deleted messages.  A window opens showing deleted emails.  If you find it there, highlight it, then click on the small arrow at the top left of the page.  A new window will open allowing you to move the email back to your Inbox...Hopefully with the download,etc.

Thanks for your response. I did not delete the email. There is an icon in the "attachment" (paperclip) column showing that there is indeed an attachment but there is no way visible to access the attachment.
