Bogus Email

I got an email from eMail Community saying my emails "has" been blocked and to fix it they wanted me to click on the link embedded. It didn't even work. I don't believe the email is really from you despite being signed from Xfinity. Should I forward it to you?

Re: Bogus Email

It sounds like a phishing scam.  You can report it here---------------------

Re: Bogus Email

The email was probably from a scammer.  Even if it said it was from Comcast/Xfinity, it most likely wasn't.  Whenever you receive something like this, you can hover your mouse over the link and at the bottom of your web browser you should see the link appear and they should match.  If they don't match, the email is a phish and you should just delete it without clicking on anything.

If you start having problems with your computer after this, head to the Security and Anti-Virus forum and let them know what problems you're having.

Re: Bogus Email

Please read this Comcast Email Phish or Legit? How to Tell (and rules for posting about your mail) clickable link.

It contains very useful information about mail that purports to be from Comcast.

By the time you get through reading it YOU will be an expert on HOW to know that the mail is a phishing attempt.
