Binds up computer after initial contact

Binds up computer after initial contact

After initial contact on e-mail, I find the program is binding up the computer to such an extent that I have to competely re-boot it.  Any clue's please ? Thank you. P.L.

Exactly what program is "binding" up the computer?  How?  Are you using an email client like Outlook or Thunderbird, or only the Comcast webmail?
