Advertising before news videos

How do I bypass ads that come on when I click on a particular news video that I want to view?

If there are several news videos that I want to watch, the same ad appears at the beginning of each video.  This is very frustrating.  Under the older format of news videos, I was able to double-click on the ad and it would disappear and I was able to view the news videos with the ads.  Would like to be able to do this again.

No - Can you explain this in detail so that I can follow your directions to bypass the ads?

Re: Advertising before news videos

AdBlock Plus is an Internet browser plugin that block ads on webpages.  Also blocks ads on youtube and the ones on the news videos on xfinity page.

just install it from the page as a plugin.

Re: Advertising before news videos

I downloaded and installed the adblock software (then enabled it) - but it did not get rid of the ads.

Why didn't it work?  Now I have ads that appear on my e-mail page and I can't get rid of those ads.
