Adding Recipients to Emails

The new version of email is lacking the function of adding people from my Address Book as recipients. I used to be able to click on "To", "CC" or "BCC" and have the Address Book show up to select the names I wanted to receive my email. This function is no longer available making it difficult and time consuming to add names unless they are assigned to a group. How can I get back the previous function?

In the new email format you have basically two ways to add contacts to the To, Cc or Bcc fields;  just start typing the names and they should appear in the drop-down----or, open the address book, and you can send directly from there.  You select the names you want, and then click on "Send Mail" in the toolbar.
