Accidently changed user name and deleted email account.

Accidently changed my user name and deleted the email account. Can anything be done to change this?

Call 1-800 comcast right away and tell them what you did.  Normally when a Username is deleted, it goes into an inactive 'pool' for 90 days.  But if you call right away,you should be able get it back.

I was told it is irreversable and there is nothing they can do by the phone tech.

Since I don't know when you deleted the username, that could be right... But if you just did it, I really would call back and speak with a different Rep.  Post back with the results of your second call.

Thanksa for your reply. Did this about two hours ago and just got off the phone with the second rep (While waiting for a reply here) and he turned in a work ticket TO BE LOOKED AT in 24-48 hrs. Hope that's not too late.

I was able to activate the username that was deleted.

Just need to know what to do now and I'll be set. I tried to make a new account  with the old username,  it says it's already in use. Tried jus logging in to the old username and it says the username and password don't match.

Tag, your password was probably reset.  From the homepage, type in your Username, and then click on the Forgot password link.  You will be directed to a new window where you can change your password.

Clear your browser cache, then try again.  Are you signed in now with your Primary Username?  And is it a different Username then the one that Larry reactivated for you?

Signed out on this username, Cleared cache, and tried again and it still says it cannot find the username.

 

Yes it,s a different username than the one I'm logged in on now. And this is NOW my Primary account.

OK. It was fixed for a whole 24 hrs and now the problem is back. Don't know what happened as I was gone all day and not logged on.
