"The connection to the server was interrupted"

I keep getting an error when trying to download my mail throughout the day Outlook XP
"Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or ISP. The server responded: +OK'"

The +OK changes sometimes to various other codes including some ascii characters.

My settings are correct, mail.comcast.net port 110

You must be anony's twin in the other thread; wish y'all would get an ID. Check to see if you have 'authentication required' selected under smtp setting.

Sorry, I just put in a name... anyway, it's not for the smtp settings... sending works fine, it's receiving when I get the error.

If you have your virus program set to scan email, disable that and try again.
