Incoming email being rejected as "Invalid 7bit data"

One of my correspondents reported a problem forwarding me a message with a PDF attachment. She made multiple attempts to send it (accessing an Exchange email account from her iPad), first sending directly to my email address and then using an address on her domain that is set to forward to my Comcast email address. Both times, it was rejected with the following message:
imta36.emeryville.ca.mail.comcast.net rejected your message to the following e-mail addresses:

1mta36.emeryville.ca.mail,comcast.net gave this error:

Invalid 7bit DATA

There's a problem with the recipient's mailbox. Please try resending the message.  If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

She had successfully sent the same message to several other people on several different domains; only Comcast rejected it. One of the other recipients forwarded it to me at my Comcast address with no difficulties. She is able to send other messages to me at the Comcast address (including messages about the error message).

I think the problem probably is with the sender's email configuration, not with my mailbox. Any advice?
