I have two accounts. One is working, the other is not so I am going to assume it's a server issue. It started with not being able to attach anything to an email then it just crashed. Have used this time to create another email account with Gmail.
Can't get into my email and message says they are doing maintenance on the server.................that's a nice way of saying that they got hacked! Why would they schedule maintenance in the middle of the day!?
I've also tried getting my mail through my Xfinity app and no joy.
It's not working here in Michigan, either. The message I'm receiving is:
Sorry, we were unable to load your email and voicemail. Please try refreshing your browser in a few minutes.
Yeah, it's been MUCH LONGER than a few minutes already. So please give us some helpful, useful info Comcast.
According to the message board, others are experiencing this, too. They say the wait to speak to someone at Comcast is over an hour long so it must be a broad range problem. Comcast is stupid not to post some info about the issue and about what we should expect in terms of down time, even if only to cut down on the number of calls they receive.
It keeps telling me I need to be subscribed to High-Speed internet yet I am and actually my phone is currently on my home wifi now. I can't seem to find any posts how to fix it except a few from couple years ago that mention the fix is on the comcast end? I recently downloaded the app again and tried. I had it for a while and then this started happening. I got frustrated and stopped using it. Now I would like to try again.
Re: e-mail system failure--10 min. ago, it worked well. Now cannot receive messages...
This Outlook Express message appears -- "The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"
Then comes an Easy Solve "We have detected an issue with your email..etc, etc. Let's run a scan...and solve..etc., etc. But I hate to add another layer.
I'm so frustrated with no email! I couldn't find info online so went on chat and the guy said it was an outage and should be fixed "in 24 hours" but the email page on the website (when I'm logged in) says the server is "down for maintenance" and that it will be back up shortly, so I should refresh my browser in a few minutes. Am I supposed to sit here refreshing my browser every few minutes for 24 hours? (Or more?) Our bill just went up AGAIN and it is so, so high. I called to ask if there was a cheaper plan I could downgrade to and was told no.
I am at the office and I went onto the Comcast web-site with my ID and PW as always and got on, but I can't get to my email and it say refresh in a few minutes, but that hasn't made any difference...I do get into the secured site but just can't get the email and files look. G_L_M
