New Window \ Door Sensors - January 2017

The Xfintiy website has detailed directions on how to install \ pair window and door sensors HOWEVER as an  end user you can not do it per an agent.  Is it me or is Comcast just trying to make another $50?  Anyone have the work around?  My hub will not discover the window door sensors (both blinking and powered).....Thanks

Re: New Window \ Door Sensors - January 2017

You use to be able to add window and door sensors by entering the tech screen (using code 4321) instead of your regular code.  This ability has been removed recently.  If you are trying to add or change a sensor now you can't.  You have to have a tech come out and do it.  Waste of your and the techs time.

Try adding them with the app.  It works.

Or the web portal
https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/control-pairing-door-window-sensor

Customers were never supposed to have the same access as techs.

There is no option to add a device on the web portal like in the article provided.

You still can't add sensors via the Mobile App.
