Scam Alert

1-855-934-6489, I called and reported this number as a scam number yesterday to Comcast, they directed me to security. (reading on here, saying it is a good number). But if you enter it into  Google it is a scam number. Which ever I now believe it is a scam and have blocked it, but it can still leave messages and calls at least 4 times a day until about 1pm PST. That is the message it is leaving--> I'm calling in regards to your current equipment. Our network monitoring system has identified issues with your internet speed, and we'd like to spend a few minutes with you to resolve the issue. Please call 855-873-6941 if you need additional assistance. Sounds a lot like the Microsoft scam.

Re: Scam Alert

It's not a scam. It's a legitimate call from Comcast to repair your service before it gets worse.

Re: Scam Alert

It's not a scam - I got the same call a couple of years ago when Comcast automatically upgraded my speed tier from 150 Mbps Blast to 200 Mbps Blast Pro, and apparently they wanted me to upgrade my then Arris TM822G modem to take advantage of the faster speeds.

I was skeptical at first, but turns out they were right, the TM822G was a bottleneck.
