Guess I will cancel and stay with DirectTV

Guess I will cancel and stay with DirectTV

Well on Friday at 7:51 Pm I got a call from Comcast promotion wanting to upgrade my service. We came up with a plan that worked with a 2 year contract. I asked at LEAST 3 times what the total with fees and taxes would be.

The agent put me on hold and gave me a price of $174 and some odd cents. Having dealt with suprises on my bill in the past...I asked him to verifie that TOTAL price with taxes and fees would be $174  he replied yes.

Lo and behold, I got email from Comcast Sat AM saying my new service would be $169.99 before taxes and fees!!!!! The email also showed a shipping and handling fee that the agent agreed to waive.

I immediatly phoned Comcast to find out what was going on. I knew that Comcast records calls and asked to have a supervisor review the recording. Agent said supervisor would call back within 48 hours.   Comcast ticket 044468949.

No call back yet....waiting for Direct TV to send boxes to return my equipment. Looks like I may be staying with DirectT.V

No sales rep can tell you what your total will be with taxes and fees because they actually don't know the rate your locality taxes at.
