Is it normal for employees to deliberately withhold contract details in order to complete sale?
Comcast needs to train its workers in ethical and legal behavior. If you've have similar incidences, please report it to the FCC as I've done.
I called in a couple of days ago to see if I can keep my rates and the customer rep on hand was polite saying that the only way we can do it is to add tv bundle even if I don't use it. The plan would be for $49.99 for one year and $69.99 for the next year with no commitments. I even asked him - there is no contract and I can cancel anytime after one year? He says yes. I agreed.
2 days later I get an email that directs me to agree to the terms of our "contract" that I had signed orally on the phone. If you have recorded messages you'd know that it is incorrect information.
the email is vague and does not even include the details of the contract. At the very least, you need to add all that information before you expect someone to sign it.
