Download/Upload Speeds

What should my upload/download speeds be?  There is a Comcast Speed Test but nowhere does it say what speeds you should have or any way to compare your speed against the norm.

By the way, my DL speed is about 20, Ping is 9 ms and Upload is .02

Re: Download/Upload Speeds

From the High Speed Internet FAQ pages

What are the new Internet speeds that Comcast will offer with the launch of DOCSIS 3.0?

To get your free speed upgrade, you need to first power cycle your modem - here's how:

  1. Shut down your computer
  2. Unplug the cable modem from the electrical outlet
  3. Leave the cable modem unplugged for at least 10 seconds
  4. Plug the cable modem back into the electrical outlet and allow about 30 seconds to initialize before starting your computer
  5. Turn your computer back on

Current Comcast High-Speed Internet subscribers will see an increase in their current internet speeds with the launch of DOCSIS 3.0.  To see the speed increases to current Comcast High-Speed Internet subscribers, see the table below:

Re: Download/Upload Speeds

This answers every question except mine. How do I find out what speed I am paying for?
