I use xfiniity mostly for internet and had to get the basic cable package with HBO to get that. Recently I received a notice that the basic cable box I have will not be compatible with the service by summer of 2017, and they wanted to send me a new one. I did that and received the new box and it works fine.
However, in the box there are references to having to return the old equipment or face charges for not doing so. They continually refer to there being a postage paid return label and other instructions that were NOT in the box with the new receiver. When I go online to ask there is apparently no way to just email or chat to get the question answered for this topic. And calling means a maze of menus and waiting on hold, which I am not able to do during business hours.
So, does Comcast want their obsolete box back or not?
