xfinity portal Impersonating Xfinity website

xfinity portal Impersonating Xfinity website

I was just directed to a site that warned it was "Impersonating Xfinity". Not surprised.  Does Comcast know about this?  I was testing my internet speed, which for a 200mbps was terrible at 40 download and 11 upload, but that's another issue.  What is being done to ensure security?  I just paid my bill through the xfinity website!

This is NOT solved.  I appreciate the help but is Comcast doing something about this?  I marked solved before I even tried to call, I will email them but this should be highlighted for other's knowledge - agreed?

No worries, I "unsolved" it for you. To answer your question  - Yes Comcast is very aggressive about getting these bogus sites taken down. Typically they contact the spoof site's host and get it taken down quickly.

Re: xfinity portal Impersonating Xfinity website

Thank you.  But everytime I send this issue to abuse@comcast.com I get the same auto-generated message.  I'm not dumb.  I'm waiting for a legitimate answer!  When it is actually addressed I hope they will notify me.

Thanks for your help!  Sorry I was so cynical - I haven't seen this happen again so, yes, I'm leaving it up to you!  I really appreciate your reassurance on this matter...
