bill went up $28, on 2 year contract. WHY?

Hi

So, just logged in to pay my bill.  Last month the bill was $88.09.  This month? $116.72.  I'm on month 2 of a 2 year double play contract.  Why did my bill go up $28.63?  I chose the plan I did because I'm over 60, on a fixed income.  Sure I could cancel.  And get hit with an enormous fee.  What's going on comcast/xfinity?

Hello shaera.

Sudden increases in fees are usually at the end of a promotional/ discount period. Discounted pricing only lasts for a limited period of time and does eventually shift to Everyday Price. If you review your past bills, you'll most likely see a warning of it somewhere on the bill. I can assist with a review of the promotional offers available to your account. Please send me a private message and include your full name, service address, and account number so I can access your account.
