Returned Equipment, Bill Increased

Returned Equipment, Bill Increased

For a year or two, I've had a spare cable box. I never used it. I never even opened the shipping container until Customer Service asked me to do so. Comcast had sent it to me becuase the install agent never told the home office he had installed a box and there was no need for a second one.

I paid ten dollars per month for the spare box, and considered it a sort of insurance against the one I used failing.

When the box I used failed, I tried the spare, and it was useless. I returned both boxes and got a new one a few days later. Now that I only have one cable box, and don't keep a spare, I figured my bill would decrease by the ten dollars, plus tax, Comcast had been billing me for the peace of mind.

Oh, my goodness, how could I have ever thought anything so preposterous!

My bill has instead increased by ten dollars, but there has been no change to my service whatsoever. How could it be I was paying an extra ten dollars per month for somtething I ultimately had no use for, I returned it, and now my bill is ten dollard higher than before?
