Re: Broadcast TV fee and Regional Sports Fee increase

This is a blatant hidden fee and should be addressed in the packaged price. To claim it in any other way is deception. Your pricing is not transparent period.

Re: Broadcast TV fee and Regional Sports Fee increase

Hi, eweldridge - The Broadcast TV Fee and Regional Sports Fee are not hidden. They are listed on the bill, on Approval Screen, that we send to our customers for any package changes. The Broadcast TV Fee is an itemized charge on the bill that is intended to offset a portion of the costs of retransmitting broadcast television signals. Broadcast stations have the right to charge for their signals, and cable providers like Comcast end up paying substantial fees in order to carry them. In recent years, our cost to retransmit broadcast television signals has more than doubled, and this itemized charge will make it clearer for you to see the factors that are driving price changes. The Regional Sports Fee is an itemized charge on your bill that recovers a portion of the costs of broadcasting multiple regional sports networks to our standard video services. The charges, and definition for these fees are communicated on your bills as well as any changes to the prices.
