Pay Past Bill/ Equipmemt Charge

Pay Past Bill/ Equipmemt Charge

Hi,

Long story short, account was supposed to be transferred to new owner, while new owner did open new account, I was not informed it would keep billing. The bank account I had the auto pay setup on was closed shortly after due to a fraud hack, so now I am stuck with a bill for equipment and past bill with a collections agency. The main confusion started after a move was made and was never informed of new login and account numbers, but the autopay kept going until above request had been made.

I don't want to make a huge deal of it, just want to get in contact to pay the past bill and equipment charges, and better yet, seek to recall for debt. Please advise a contact or escalate so I can get this settled and just move on.

Did you and the new owner go to a Comcast store to have the account transferred, or did you call over the phone?  Generally, an account won't be transferred unless both parties are present to do the transfer.  It sounds as though the new owner opened their own account, which would leave you owing for services and equipment - which you have discovered.
