No customer loyalty

No customer loyalty

So frustrating to have issue after issue with this company. Recently received a letter indicating that my account would be issued a $25 return payment fee and was past due, despite submitting an additional payment prior to the due date. We switched banks and accidentally submitted a payment with our old default account information. The old account info not only went through, but we received a payment confirmation email shortly thereafter. I realized relatively quickly that the account info needed to be updated and tried to stop payment/submit another payment, but Comcast does not give you any way of stopping payment. They would rather collect fees. Although we submitted a new payment right away, we still received a notice that the account is past due.

After a long, frustrating call with their customer service (including one very condescending rep), we will be looking for a new internet provider immediately.

Re: No customer loyalty

Id AT&T do something like this to me.  I changed addresses. I filled out their online change-address form So they new that I was moving from one address to the other. However when I moved, my phone number and therefore my "account number" changed. Until I realized what was happening , my autopays were going to the wrong account and they kept harrassing me about my account being "delinquent". They also informed me that they could not simply transfer my balances across "accounts". On top of that, they insisted on sending the "refund" checks for the overpayments on the old account to the address associated with the old account, which I no longer lived at. I never found a way to get my money back from them ... in hindsight I should have let the new account go delinquent and left them to sort out their own internal book-keeping issues.
