Late fee when canceling during grace period! Help!

Hello,

On May 20 I got my package and installed my services, and on June 14 the equipment was returned to Comcast. I canceled on June 3rd, and I still kept getting billed, so I called twice to verify that they knew I canceled in the month of June and I believe July. This apparently didn't work, because now a collections agency is calling saying I owe $330! I have proof of everything if I need to show it.

When I called the customer service line it automatically sent me to the payments department who couldn't help me with that problem and wouldn't transfer me. I've tried everything except this. I really hope someone sees this.

Thanks in advance!

mkkop1 -- Wanted to update you that all early termination fees have been adjusted from your account. This has created a credit balance that we will send back to you in the form of a check. We will also be contacting the collections agency to information them that this account no longer has any outstanding debt. Please let us know if you have any further questions about this.

Re: Late fee when canceling during grace period! Help!

That's wonderful news, thanks a ton! Just for peace of mind, would you mind providing me a number to a Comcast department that could help if this collection still affects my credit score by mistake? I'd be thankful.

mkkop1 -- We wouldn't have a direct line for that department however we can help you here if that issue comes up. Let us know if it does and we'll get you taken care of.

Re: Late fee when canceling during grace period! Help!

Hey guys, I'm really appreciative of how you've dealt with my problem, but I still haven't received your check which my roommate and I have really been looking forward to finding in the mail! How long does it take to get?

Hi mkkop1! It normally takes anywhere from 6-8 weeks before you see the refund check in the mail.
