Hard Inquiry from just shopping

The other day I was browsing Xfinity promotions but I did not complete an order.   Why was a hard inquiry made and can it be removed?

Hi scottod. Typically, when upgrading to certain levels of service, or starting new service with Comcast, we do a credit inquiry to qualify you for service and to identify you. I can review your account or address to which you were shopping promotions for, and see if I can answer these questions about your credit inquiry. Please send me a private message and include your full name, service address, and account number so I can assist you.
