Declining EFT charges

Declining EFT charges

With the multitudes of posts regarding EFT charges, I encourage ALL of you to verify you were charged the correct EFT amount!!

I entered into my contract in May of 2017 and based on the statement below in an email I received from XFINITY, "The early termination fee starts at $110.00 and beginning the SECOND MONTH declines every MONTH over the length of the minimum term agreement." I received my final bill that included an incorrect EFT of $90.00. Based on the months enrolled in the program and the EFT declining each month by $10, they overcharged me by $20.00. Who knows if it was a system error but regardless....that's $20 and how many customers have been charged an incorrect amount?

Also found in the email confirming my new account info it states that "terminating your contract is subject to an early termination fee" the fact that customers who move outside of the service area and can prove they have to get service from another provider should not have to pay you for service you are no longer providing! This activity doesn't reflect your mission statement:

"Comcast is working hard to create the best customer service and customer experience. We are on a mission to reinvent how we interact with our customers and deliver an exceptional experience in every way."

"The offer you selected requires a 12 MONTH minimum term agreement and is subject to an early termination fee if all XFINITY services are cancelled during the agreement term. A copy of the minimum term agreement can be viewed by logging into your account at www.xfinity.com by clicking here.

If you are in a contract and you move to an area that Comcast doesn't service, you are the one effectively breaking the contract, not Comcast.  Due to territorial agreements Comcast isn't able to service every area, so they aren't the one breaking the contract.
