Charge to move the cable?

Charge to move the cable?

Hello!

I've had XFinity internet for about 6 months now. When installed, the guy ran a new wire from the pole, then new wire into the house...so I know exactly where it comes into the house. I had him install the router on the opposite side of the house, so the cable runs on the ground in my dirt crawl space all the way across under the house and then up at the furthest wall at the floor.

I want to relocate my router to the center of the house - which means pulling back the cable about 25ft and up a new hole.

However - I've been reading the horror stories about service calls and exorbitant charges that seem to pop up later on billing statements. What does Comcast charge for something like this? Is there a way to get a nailed-down amount? Or a nailed-down amount and just pay it right then and there that day instead of worrying about later billing?

I'm not handy enough to do this myself, and I don't know anyone who is.

Thanks!

Hi bamonier, the information that (barbie123) shared is correct. We do not perform wall fishing for the cable, we can bring the coax cable to you and run it along the wall to the location you want the modem in your home. If you would like to schedule a technician to come out please reach back out to me here.

Hire a local electrician because Comcast no longer fishes cable.
