Change email address

Somehow my family and friends email got into my account profile instead of the address I ordinarily use for Internet business, and I am unable to edit this item in my profile. What can I do?

Thanks for responding. I don't know how to use private message feature.

 

I think I've figured out the reason for my problem. My family and friends email address is my primary address, and the one I would prefer to have businesses, including Comcast and Xfinity, use is a secondary one. That way all business email goes into the same inbox.

 

I suspect that Comcast and Xfinity insist on using my primary address and there is no way to change that except to switch the two addresses between primary and secondary. How did I do?

Hi KenVan,

 

Sorry for the delayed response. Below are the steps that will show you how to change your secondary user to the primary user. 

 

To change a secondary user to the primary user:

  1. Sign in to My Account as the primary user.
  2. Click the Users tab at the top of the page.
    The Users tab can be found under the My Account tab.
     
  3. Select the Primary User, then click Transfer admin rights.
    The primary user is listed with options to edit user details or to transfer admin rights.
     
  4. Select which user you'd like to transfer admin rights to via the drop-down menu.
    You can select a new user to transfer admin rights to or add a new user.
     
  5. Click Save.
