$20 Echeck/eft Return Fee

$20 Echeck/eft Return Fee

Dear Comcast,

I see a $20 Echeck/eft Return Fee on my latest bill. I was not notified that my payment didn't go through until my home's network didn't work. I made the payment again with the assistance of the customer agent. A couple days later, I receive my new bill with $20 return fee - but I never get any notification about the fact that my first payment didn't go through (and nothing about the reason why it didn't).

I contacted costumer service via phone. Your customer representative told me on the phone that I was first using the checking account. I have used this account to pay for my utility, online shopping, and there is no possibility that it could not be used. Another possibility is that the numbers may have been entered mistakenly. But I am sure that I entered the numbers correctly, I use this payment method for many different things, and I am very careful with numbers.

I also realized in the forums that many other customers have had similar problems before. Some had this charge credited back to their account (see for ex:http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Billing/Echeck-eft-return-fee-I-want-it-back/m-p/2637535).

I am asking this fee to be cancelled; or credited to my account in my next bill.

Hi solutionlx. I can review the charges for returned EFT for you. Please send me a private message and include your full name, service address, and account number so I can take a look.
