2-Step Verification persistence in browser

2-Step Verification persistence in browser

Greetings,

I've had a problem with the web site's 2-step verification. I have it turned on, and it does send a text message to my cell phone when I log in from the browser on my computer (both FireFox and Google Chrome). The problem is that the "Don't ask me again in this browser" option is not working properly.

I'd like for the 2-step verification to ask for other browsers or devices, but not for my primary browser. For this feature, my bank and other web sites that use 2-step verification set a cookie that has an expiration date far into the future (the year 2037 in one case). I never have to worry about the verification process again in that browser if I only allow cookies to be deleted when they expire. (Deleting all cookies would negate this feature.)

This should be an issue for the web development team at Comcast to look at.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi, RelUnrelated - What browser do you use as primary? Chrome or Firefox?
