Re: what happened to cool tv?

I just noticed that Cool TV is gone! Smiley Sad I loved that channel! It's what MTV was originally and played old (and a few new) music videos! I hope it just moved and I dont see it. If they removed it I will be so disappointed.

Re: what happened to cool tv?

There is another thread on this. TheCoolTV is a BROADCAST network that is aired by a local broadcaster, and Comcast passes it on. It sounds like a bunch of stations, mainly Sinclair-owned, dropped it.

[ Edited ]

On the afternoon of August 31, 2012, TheCoolTV was dropped from all 32 Sinclair Broadcasting stations that carried the channel, with no replacement. No reason has been given, other than a very brief message from Jim Wright, the Regional Engineering Manager for Sinclair, who said: "We are no longer carrying CoolTV on all Sinclair stations as of this afternoon."

I researched from this link on what is currently happening with the network .. some may find an interest in reading some more about the channel.
