The FACT is that the customer is still paying for something that they didn't get. We are owed a refund and a monthly lower bill.

networks come and go, change name/programming etc all the time. I bet if the local gas station started charging $10 more per gallon than all the rest you would drop that station and use another. Same with comcast. Yes is being unreasonable and comcast called their bluff. petition YES network to drop price to level they charged comcast previously.

Just think of all the revenue that YES is not getting from comcast now.

Very true. And just think of all the revenue comcast is getting for the yes network and not paying them a penny. Something has to give here.

High Pressure Tactics

Comcast, or XFinity as it likes to call itself, is not only refusing to deal with YES network, it is blocking Yankee games on ESPN!  The Guide for channel 1605 says it's a Yankee game.  It isn't.  And their tech support will not acknowledge it.  They tell me they'll have an answer as to why the game isn't on, though it will take up to 72 hours to give that answer.  What an outfit!

Re: YES Network

You take away my number one channel during the baseball season and then add insult to injury by telling me you are too cheap to pay the increase or negotiate a workable deal?  You folks really stink at what you do. Get YES back if you expect to see another monthly payment from me.

Valued Contributor

Re: High Pressure Tactics

Unless it's an exclusive ESPN game (usually Sunday nights), the ESPN telecast must be blacked out in the viewing area of the teams involved, so they show a backup game instead. Same thing happened many years ago for NBC's Game of the Week on Saturday afternoons.

Re: YES NETWORK contract expires midnight on Wed with no deal in sight...

It's all about GREED onboth parties. They both could care less about their customers. Why do they take it upon themselves to speak for us??? Give us a chance to decide if we want the network or not. It's a total disgrace!!

Re: YES NETWORK contract expires midnight on Wed with no deal in sight...

I love listening to John Sterling and his home run calls but come on already Comcast Xfinity. I'd really like to be able to be watching these games on TV as opposed to listening to almost all of them. Boo your corporate greed.

YES Network

It is unbelieveable that our family has been forced to miss  the YES network and all that that implies.

If the YES Network is not available by next April, I will switch providers for all the services I now get from comcast: TV, Internet and Phone.

Contributor

Re: YES Network

It is equally unbelievable that every subrscriber is being forced to pay so that your family can watch. I would not mind if YES came back as a premium channel, like HBO or Showtime, but I don't have any desire to receive the channel, or ESPN or any of the other sports networks that I'm forced to pay for just so I can get Disney for my grandkids.

UPDATE 01/01/2017

Comcast and Fox News-parent 21st Century Fox have come to terms on a new distribution agreement for Fox’s YES regional sports network, which is home to the New York Yankees.

When will YES be back on Comcast?
We anticipate YES will return to our customers in the NY market sometime early in the 2017 MLB regular season.

I can't tell you how happy I am that Comcast has come to an agreement with the YES network.  My husband who has parkinson's missed it terribly and would mope around the house every time a Yankee game was being played that  he couldn't watch.  Thank you...Thank you...Thank you....

Re: YES Network

I was one of the biggest complainers when comcast dropped YES, so let me be among the 1st to thank comcast for finally coming to an agreement with the yes network.
For everyone complaining about the bill going up, it would be going up regardless, not just because of the yes channel.
Why don't you complain over the other garbage that we are forced to watch and pay for like rupaul and other shows like that.
Bottom line is that now us Yankees fans finally get to see our team. I will definitely renew my contract with comcast now.

Not happy paying for the other 150 channels I don't ever watch either. YES just happens to be one that we KNOW charges a substantial fee, just like ESPN. I'd like to see a package that drops ALL the sports programming, and I'd bet there are a lot of other people who would also appreciate such an option.

They won't do that à la cart thing but maybe once streaming starts catching catching on, that's how I got the Yankees last year. I streamed sling TV for 20 bucks a month

Re: YES Network

I subscribed to Sling TV as well for 20.00 a month to get the YES Network. One way or another I was not going to miss an entire season of Yankees baseball.

For your area of northeastern PA, YES will be on channel 66 and available in HD on channel 844.

YES Network will be added to Digital Starter and XFINITY TV 450 Latino packages.

Thanks for your patience.

Not currently expected to be added in Florida. Will be added back to the areas that previously carried this channel.

In those areas, YES Network will be added to Digital Starter and XFINITY TV 450 Latino packages.

Re: YES Network

It really doesn't matter whether Comcast offers YES or not!

I'm a long time Yankee Fan, now living in Southwest Florida. Since Comcast has not offered the YES Network down here, I was forced to find another option ... and I did!

I purchased a ROKU 3 Unit which has the MLB.TV Channel embedded. It's NOT a free channel but the cost is very affordable(There are other devices that can do this ... not to be discussed here).

You can elect a "single team" option for for $87.49/ year, which gives you both Spring Training and Regular Season games for THAT TEAM ... in my case the New York Yankees. (There's an option ALL TEAMS and even a monthly option, that I won't go into here).

To inprove the streaming, I purchased a MoCA Adapter for $99.00. This unit converts my coax  cord signal to an ethernet signal, improves the speed by almost three-fold, and eliminates buffering.

So now I watch the Yankeee games (Spring and Regular Season) with the "single team" rate. The only "black outs" are games covered on National Networks. Nice also is that there ar eNO COMMERCIALS!

If you are in the same boat, try it!

Re: YES Network

Too be honest we pay way too much for a lot of channels we don't watch. It would be ideal to be able to pick and choose our own packages and pay accordingly. I look through the hundreds of channels I have and only regularly watch 15-20 of them.
