On October 25, 2017 (edit: updated to November 24), WYCC in Chicago (usually 240 HD, various channels for SD) will be going off the air. They sold their broadcast spectrum in the FCC 600MHz auction and decided to shut down, although WTTW, the main PBS station, is offering to share a channel.

If they do become a WTTW subchannel, it may be awhile before it returns to Comcast, if ever.

WYCC has announced a change to the shutdown date. It is now scheduled for November 24 while they see if they can work out a channel sharing agreement with WTTW.
