I'm also a paying Comcast customer.  I think it's ridiculous that you have to pay for the Sports Package in order to receive CMT and "Nashville".  All the guide books list CMT in "Preferred and Basic" levels.  Also, when you try to access the channel, it states "you are subscribed and to go to Comcast.com to update.  That's false!!!  Just one false statement after another.    After waiting 30 minutes on hold to get an answer to this, I'm about ready to change to AT&T.

You have access to Nickelodeon HD Ch 863, it airs Nashville 2 hours after CMT

You took away CMT what does it cost to get  it back?

I think that is pretty crummy since Nashville is on there now.

You will need to call into Comcast at 1-800-266-2278 or 1-800-934-6489 and speak with a CSR about which package subscription will get you CMT and the additional cost to you for that subscription.

CMT is still carried in areas that previously had it, but in many areas, it has moved to the Sports & Entertainment package.

So you move the CMT channel which Nashville was moved to and knowing how many people fought to keep that show on the air, you make it so they have to pay for another package. I am paying enough to you guys $179.00/mo and this is what you do. Can't wait for my contract to end so I can look at other options. Shame on you Comcast and the greed that is over taking this company.

CMT was moved to Sports and Entertainment in January 2016.  CMT did not acquire Nashville until May 2016 after it was canceled by ABC in March 2016.

If you want to watch Nashville but don't have CMT, it is broadcast on Nickelodeon, your Chs SD 40, SD 124 and HD 740 a couple of hours after CMT airs it.

I agree with all!  My wife and enjoy watching the CMT Network and Comcast just decides to delete it from our programing package. We have a contract with Comcast which has been broken.  If more folks complain maybe they will listen.

Then tell them to move CMT back! It's still listed in our channel lineup. Dumbest move ever Comcast! Comcast is nothing but a scammer!

I am so glad to see all of the complaints here.

Add my voice to the others complaining about Comcast wanting to charge us $9.99 to get CMT back!

Ridiculous!

Comcast, you need to change your decision-making!  It's alienating your customers, especially when they have other options.

Don't you realize that such decisions end up costing you revenue?  Because you will lose more customers than you will gain in revenue by trying to charge $9.99 to watch a single network!

In what world it that smart decision-making?

Fellow customers, if you want to watch Nashville, find another option such as a neighbor who has FiOS, Hulu, or pay $1.99 to Amazon or iTunes.

You can watch CMT on Nick at 11:00pm, the same night CMT airs it just an hour later.  I decided to buy the sports package last week just so I could watch Nashville on CMT until I found out Nick airs it.  I dropped the sports package like a bad habit!!  I only had it for a week and that was a week too long!

My two year contract states CMT is part of my contract , seeing a contract is a contract ,,,

until my contract is up , CMT should remain in my package , what's my next step

Lawsuit? Bring up these shifty tactics to the FCC and other government regulatory agencies? The problem is enough people won't complain about Comcast breaking the contract by taking away/moving channels. So without a good majority of their customers voicing their displeasure nothing will happen. It's the same as Playstation Network now being pay to play on the Playstation 4. Nobody complains about it. They just pay it because 'it is the way it is'. I'm sure some of them are hoping beyond hope that someone ELSE will be the one to speak up and get things changed for them.

Not a Nashville fan, but I got hooked on Sun Studios, which I have not seen on any other channel.  The fact that I have Digital Preferred and still can't watch CMT is a little messed up!

Yes, Sports AND Entertainment.  So if CMT is considered "entertainment", why isn't MTV or VH1 bundled in that package???  I would like an answer to that!

The same reasoning that TCM is partof the sports/entertainmentpackage, makes no sense at all.

I would like to know if I have the same right to change a contract after it has been signed that Comcast apparently has....I signed up for a channel lineup that included Spike Channel and then at their whim it was removed because it was popular and they figured they could make more people sign up for the next higher tier by removing another popular channel from the lower priced tier.  If I agree to a 2 or 3 year contract I don't have the right to change my mind midway in the contract but apparently Comcast does.  This kind of deception is why more and more people are leaving Comcast and going to Satellite...Comcast seems to put customer satisfaction at the very bottom of their list of things to do.    ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!

I think it is a stupid thing to move CMT to a sports package because nobody really wants the sports package. Besides where is my discount for removing this off my premium package. Not so premium anymore.

I am very confused and disappointed with Comcast programing.  I get MLB, ESPN, MTV, etc so why am I not getting CMT?  We already pay a small fortune to Comcast, I am not adding another penny to our bill so that I can watch 1 show!

Hello rgozer. We look at our channel lineup from time to time and realign as needed.

If you change your mind, and would like to add the Sports Entertainment Package, please send me a private message and include your full name, service address, and account number so I can assist.
