Unfortunately, We don't have the choice to leave COMCAST. No dishes allowed where we live. This is the reply to an email I sent after a facebook post commenting on how ever post on Xfinity's facebook page is replyed by the phrase "I'm sorry for the problems you are having with Xfinity..."; every GD post! It's cheaper for them to hire people to say "I'm sorry" than it is for them to FIX THE PROBLEM! Hear is the reply I got:
We have no ETA to when this will be available. All cable providers have different features, products and services. This feature is something we are looking to provide at a later date that is unknown at this time. I apologize that I cannot give you a more specific date.

That's it. I've contacted them twice to three times a day to address this issue. I've even written all over the payment slip, and the envelope when I paid my (substantial) bill this month. There is not a single person that I can contact that has a straight answer; I have never run into such obtuseness. COMCAST is a sorry company indeed. WE WANT FOX SPORTS 2!
This is disgraceful on Comcast part. We pay soo much for cable and they don't deliver. FS2 is needed NOW. In addition, Bein Sport USA needs to be in HD like yesterday and not on SD (displying the HD sign is not the same)
It is costing them about $.30 cents per subscriber. That is just another excuse. The deal was made 7 months ago for every Comcast customer to receive what was then Fuel TV, they can't deny that, it was right in the contract. This is just another way for them to get customers to pay more and not provide everything that they should.
I even go on twitter rants about not getting FS2 and all they say is we are looking into see when your area will get it. I never get a response while Dish Network and Directv have offered pretty good deals in response. You would think that Comcast would get the hint and do something, but I guess they are too busy counting all the money that we pay them.
Fox bought speed and then dropped the name to fox sports and created a 1-2 with it along with changing the format, they have begun to changed into a Espn type sports channel. Fact. Also fox sports 2 is on demand with UFC replays as of now, no other content is showing yet on my Dvr.
7 months ago Comcast signed the agreement with Fox to carry FS1 & FS2. That means they are paying Fox for the rights to both channels and passing that cost on to us, but not providing the ability to watch FS2.
All the channels on the comcast system and they won't make one available for FS2 is just unbelievable, they just don't care about the customer because they know for many of us we don't have another alternative.
There was an ad on TV that stated Comcast carried FS2 - however, when I called COMCAST was informed that it was not available on our line up. Would put in a request and then disconnected my call. Hey I pay a lot of money for COMCAST and am usually very happy with my service. So hey add FS2 to the line up!!!
I just went to the fox sports NASCAR web site and clicked on the box where it says to find out what channel it is for your area and provider. When i did and submitted it brought up a i up a box to fill in to send to request Comcast to add fox sports 2 to the lineup. It appears Fox has heard and is helping to send requests to get Comcast to heed our requests. Everyone should do this and inundate Comcast with requests.
I think FS2 was just added to the Shreveport Market. Or I just noticed it, channel 740
Shreveport.... Hey I am from Louisiana as well. Alexandria.

Sorry Guys, filling that form out on Fox isn't going to matter to a hill of beans.
I must have filled that form out on Fuel TV website 50 times and it got me nothing.
The only thing that would send a clear message to comcast is if there was a mass cancellation of services from around the country, but for many of us satellite is not an option and in my case I live in Philadelphia, the home of Xfinity corporate offices in the Comcast building no less, and there is some collusion between Xfinity and the City to keep Verizon FIOS out of the city. FIOS is all around the suburbs right up to the city line but does not enter Philadelphia.
I too am a Nascar fan and i follow alot of the motorsports. I use to have this on my Speed channel and now we don't have it. If comcast won't give us fox sports 2 then they should not be charging us for a full sports package. All the other providers have Fox sports 2. I think we should all stand together and take our comcast box in and go and do business with Direct TV or Dish. Everybody that I know who has direct tv already has Fox 2. I feel that comcast is going to have alot of lawsuits against them.
I agree, however the retirement community I live won't allow any satallites. So we are locked into comcast. I did have Direct tv prior to moving and it wasn't all that great either-everytime there was a cloud cover or a storm we would lose are tv. We just have to keep after Comcast and hopefully they won't charge extra for "2"
I'm in the same boat. What I don't understand is why they keep FXX (formerly FOX SOCCER) which just shows re-runs all day of the same show I didn't care to watch when it came around the first time. It doesn't take a PhD to figure out that FXX is NOT a sports channel, yet it is still part of the "Preferred Sports Package". If Comcast is so hard up for channel space (the excuse they use for not offering FS2), why not get rid of it and slot in FOX Sports 2? We are in effect paying the same for much less service. A rip off.
During my daily complaint to Comcast for not carrying FOX SPORTS 2, I also mentioned that it was stupid that they now include FXX in their "Preferred Sports Package", since it just shows re runs of shows I never cared to watch the first time around. Why not slot FX2 into that channel if they are so hard up for channel space. They "escalated" the complaint, and somebody from a call center in India gave me a call. I told him what my problem was, and he gave me a $5.00 discount to my bill (the Preferred Sports Package cost $9.95 where I live) for six months. Hopefully they will have it sorted by then. Until then, I'm still complaining at least once a day (I've become a bit obsessive compulsive about this issue, and have too much time on my hands) LOL. Call 'em up and complain about FXX. IF they have to give too many $30.00 credits, it may get some action on their part.
Had to call Comcast twice and talk with two customer service? people about strange charges on my current bill. Watch your bills line by line. Neither could tell me what the random charge was for. I did get it taken off finally. Also, about the Sports Package with No FS2, after much discussion...I got a whopping ONE time credit of $3.00. I asked the second person to put in another escalated ticket request in for FS2 and he was non committal and I doubt he did. I am still over charged on this bundle that each person cannot tell me specifics for. Anyway, still was told FS2 not available for your area and had no further information. When mentioned all the junk channels no one wants....oh, was told...we'll someone watches them! FYI >>>> I will not give up.
RacingGirl - have you gotten anything back from the
"email@example.com address other than the computer generated message thanking you for your concerns? I've been sending them emails too to no avail. I can't believe we are starting The Chase with no FS2 coverage.
No responses as mentioned in generated email and just as Comcast has mastered the art of stalling ..... It seems same with NASCAR..Com. If us, the fans were not here they could not continue to exist. Yet, we are treated badly as if we are invisible.
Nope, Comcast does not care in fact they want FS2 (Fuel) to die because Fox is over charging for it. I"ll give them a month or two to sort out the demand for FS2 and if they do not add it to the normal sports package with Velocity, NBC sports, etc.. then i'm just leaving. Directv has everything we want i just dont want to pay the extra $ for an internet connection seperate from my content feed.
why is Comcast not carrying Fox Sports 2? Because Speed was replaced with Fox Sports 1, who has transferred most of Nascar actions to Fox Sports 2, i am now missing a lot of my Nascar events such as practices, Race Day, Victory Lane - it is very frustrating!!!!!!
Nascar Fans are feeling the Comcast Soccer Fan pain. At least I can finally watch the Premier League in HD. I am just counting the days until I move and I can get satellite and dropping Comcast like a hot piece of coal.
I am soooooooooooo mad at comcast. I love soccer,American football is so slow, so many commercials, and analysis.. There is a tennis network, golf network, basketball network, of course football. This sucks!! all i watched was fox soccer channel. NBC sports carries some of the load by carrying the BPL but thats just one league, All we get is one 30 minute show called fox soccer daily, thats BULL! Then at that the prices are still high. DirecTV here I'm come!!!!!
I keep getting messages from comcast about how many people are upset about not getting Fox Sports 2. Doesn't comcast read about all the negative comments. WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO WAKE UP?? They are not very customer oriented
THEY JUST DONT CARE! They think the only customers that are upset are the ones commenting in this forum. They are not even thinking about the 10's of thousands of other customers who are upset as well and dont have time to complain on this worthless forum.
IF they did care... Then somebody would of responded to at least one of these posts by now.
Comcast says they do not have any control over the Fox Sports network and that it is FS 2 that determines what areas will or won't receive FS 2. I tried to get an explanation from FS 1 "contact us" and was told they were only there to keep Fox Sports Website up and running. Go figure. There doesn't seem to be a straight answer available from any of these folks.
When I got my sports package monthly payment changed and request Fox Sports 2, they said that they were collecting numbers to give to Fox. I didn't understand why they can't let us know what is going on. I wonder what story we will get tomorrow. Also they are still offering the sports package reduction for 6 months since there is no longer a fox soccer channel.
Maybe if all of the customers who are upset with Comcast's lack of interest and or ability to control their own programming dropped them and went to another provider they would begin to get the message. Probably not!
I called Comcast yesterday spent 15 minutes on hold and then got disconnected and called back and left my number with the computer system. 20 minutes later I got a call back from a young lady who could not find anything about FS2 or Fox Sports 2 for my area in Zip 30214.
She did say she "Thought" she had seen a memo about it. So maybe it's in the works.
As of mid year Compact was supposed to have an agreement with Fox to carry all Fox offerings including Fuel (FS2).
I want my SPEED channel back. I do not like Fox Sports 1. It has very little, if at all on NASCAR or any other racing series. Fox Sports 1, is just one more channel, added to the half dozen other channels, that talk about football. Pro football...College football...High School football, all the time, football. Racing fans were so stoked when we got the SPEED channel. It was like, finally a channel about motorsports. And now, no channels about motorsports..........only sport channels about football and baseball and basketball. If NASCAR added a ball, would we get our SPEED channel back or at least Fox Sports 2. Or is Comcast too cheap---(it rhymes with cast). You surely charge us to much for so little. And even if you do decide to get Fox Sports 2, how long would we have to wait, months, years..........no thanks! We're just going to change our provider. Bye.
