I've been trying to settle a dispute for a $60 installation fee that should never have been charged to me.
Sometime back in April we were told we would have to upgrade to the new DTA boxes in order to keep all the programing we were paying for. Agent told us there would be no charge if I installed it myself. No problem. I've been doing that kind of work for the last 20 years. So I did it myself. Easy,peasy. When i called in to the number to activate the boxes, agent was unable to activate. No problem with the intalation, diagnostics screen came up, all checked okay. Still unable to activate, so I figured this agent didn't know wth she was doing so I thanked her, hung up the phone, called back and got a different agent, same thing. Still unable to activate.
Long story short, tried a third agent. You guessed it ,no go. Finally went on line to activate it myself, still no go, diagnostics said everything was fine. Finally chatted with tech support, diagnostics fine. After about twenty minutes with tech support he decided he would have to send a service technician out. I told him if that's what he had to do, do it , but I wasn't paying for a technicians call. Guess what, three months of arguing with customer service and I'm still being billed for an installation free. Call me exasperated!I
