New Bill is higher than what is listed on “Service and Pricing 2018”

I got my first bill of the year that showed a $5 price increase: Performace Internet went from $64.95 to $69.95. However in the same envelope with the bill was a list of “Xfinity Service & Pricing Effective January 1, 2018”, and it lists Performance Internet for just $64.99. Why is my bill higher than what is listed on the Xfinty 2018 price list?

I can help address your billing concerns. I will need to review your account and the actual bill in order to determine where the increase comes from to provide the answer to your question. Could you please verify the following information? 

 

Your first and last name

The street address associated with your service, including city state and zip code

The phone number on the account

The full account number

Hi cggo,

 

In some markets, effective January 1, 2018, there was a rate increase. If you were affected by this, there was communication sent out about it on your November 2017 billing statement. If not, there could be other reasons for the rate increase. If you need assistance, please feel free to verify your first and last name, the phone number, street address including city state and zip code, and the account number associated with your services. in a private message and I'd be happy to assist.

Or the December statement. Mine said:


Billing Date 12/05/17
Payment Due By 12/28/17
For service 12/10/17 - 01/09/18

Shouldn't a Comcast rep have know that???

 

Confusing, the "Important Information" section with the new prices says both:


Effective December 20, 1017

and


Effective January 1, 2018

Huh???

The only notice I received was this on the statement for 12/18 - 01/17 , which didn't affect me, as I have neither.

 

Important Price Information: Starting December 20, 2017, due to increased business costs, the price of XFINITY Instant TV Sports and News pack will increase from $25 to $28.25 per month. Taxes and fees apply.

 

All previous statements for Sept/Oct/Nov had no mention of any price increase for anything.

 

Did the speed of Blast! Internet increase recently and that is why the price went up?  Or just more money for same thing. I expect to pay a bit more as years go by, inflation and whatnot. But previouse years were $1.  $5 is a bigger jump than usual.  

 

Nevermind... I was looking in the wrong place. It was not in the paragraph under the bill, it was on the pages with all the rate tables.  Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. When I first looked at that table I thought it was about Channel change info.  My mistake Smiley Happy
